- Support the SUN Movement Secretariat and Networks (Global Support System) to achieve SUN 3.0 objectives, through activities including but not limited to the following: strengthened liaison among GSS (Global Support System) members on roll out of next phase of the Movement including the delivery of discrete (normally online) products.
Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Coordinator Communications and Advocacy Team, the
consultant is expected to provide short term support on the following:Overseeing and managing relationship with currently contracted design and printing companies. â— This will include planning the work ahead, monitor quality of the deliverables, review invoices andprovide clearance for payment, together with the facilitation team).Supporting the delivery of the SUN 3.0 Joint-Assessment to all 63 SUN Movement countries. This includes:â— Overseeing relationship with design company on related reporting platform and roll out, includingpreparation of a detailed concept note for the development of an online reporting platform for externalsuppliers, and with agreement of SUN Movement Secretariat teams.Supporting the SUN Movement roll out its third phase. This includes:- Supporting SUN Movement Secretariat teams (again via interaction with the design company) for regional or country-based SUN 3.0 launch events, through development of branded products and social media assets, as relevant.
- Oversee limited overhaul of website
- Put relevant information on the website as tasked.
- Overseeing creation of user-friendly and SUN-branded background material and communication pieces.
- Overseeing in general social media outreach on behalf of the SUN Movement Secretariat including for the Pooled Fund.
- Overseeing production of a regular newsletter.
- Overseeing production of newsletters and social media outreach for specific events including for the Pooled Fund.
- Drafting and editing success stories (12x) reflecting countries and networks work at national/regional level.
- A clear work plan will be developed at the beginning of the assignment to allocate days for each expected activity / deliverable.
- Minimum 2 years of progressively professional experience in working with international organizations, global partnerships, movements or foundations in a collaborative process in the field of communications related to the above- mentioned deliverables is required.

The 'SUN approach' encourages all supporters of the Movement toleave 'egos and logos' behind, to align efforts and work together to support SUN countries' national plans toscale up nutrition, during the first 1,000 days – from a mother's pregnancy to her child's second birthday.2020 marked the last year of the SUN Movement's Strategy and Roadmap (2016-2020). Following wideconsultation across the Scaling up Nutrition (SUN) Movement, a new Strategy (2021-2025) was agreed by the SUN Movement Lead Group at their annual meeting, held 7 December 2020.The Strategy puts emphasis on impact on nutrition at the country level and country leadership in addressingall forms of malnutrition. This includes supporting nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive actions throughstrengthened food, health and social protection systems, and with a focus on youth, gender equality and socioeconomic equity. Country leadership and country priorities need to be at the centre of the Movement's work.Countries will determine the institutional system for nutrition coordination that is right for their contexts andprovide political and technical leadership for action. The global system needs to gear up and align behind what countries wish to see happen.
