Internship for the IDB Representation of Chile | IDB Group communication management

Background of this search  : The Representation office in Chile - CSC / CCH is looking for a professional to be part of the team of the IDB Group office in Chile, to contribute in the management of communication and strategy towards external audiences of the brand of the IDB Group in the country to be hired as an intern under the Consultant (CNS) modality.

The team's mission:  The IDB Representative Office in Chile is essential to consolidate the IDB Group as the main partner for development in the country. In this sense, it is important that the IDB Group is recognized not only as a source of financing but also for the quality of its studies, and publications of knowledge, its international experience and the technical capacity of its staff that together help improve lives in Chile. . Therefore, it is required that the operations and projects in which the IDB Group works have as a common characteristic multisectorality, and are efficiently communicated to the community on a day-to-day basis, highlighting the Bank's impact in the different spaces of public participation and private, as well as in the media.

What will you do:

  • Support the dissemination of news, project results, knowledge products, announcements of initiatives, strategic events and other activities of the IDB Group in Chile, in order to position the IDB Group brand in the country, in collaboration with the project executing units , private counterparts, academia and civil society, and authorities in general.
  • Support the strengthening of the IDB Group's work with the country's civil society consultative group (CONSOC), in coordination with the civil society team in the Country Vice Presidency.
  • Support in the development of promotional materials and mass information, such as press releases, speeches, blogs and presentations.
  • Regularly provide content for the IDB's corporate social networks (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIN, Twitter) regarding the most outstanding activities of the IDB Group in Chile.
  • In relation to events open to the public, both belonging to the IDB Group and external in which the IDB Group has participation, coordinate with the Representative, KIC and the specialists in charge of the communications plan
  • Ensure that the IDB Group's corporate identity (eg logo, slogan, etc.) is well represented in events, publications, and other communication products
  • Keep the Representative up to date with relevant news from Chile and the IDB Group in Chile that may affect the IDB Group, its objectives or operations. In this regard, monitor the content of the mass media and submit a daily summary of relevant news to KIC and the Representative.
  • Carry out a mapping of key actors in social networks, resulting in a list of opinion leaders, educational institutions, journalists, and members of the government with their twitter accounts, Facebook pages, Instagram, etc.

Payments:  Bi-monthly payment.

  • Active Master's or Doctorate student  from 21 to 33 years old at the start date of the internship. Study focus in Communication and journalism.
  • Area of ​​Experience:  internal and external communication management.
  • Languages:  Master the Spanish language. Have a working knowledge of one of the Bank's official languages ​​(for example: Spanish, English, Portuguese or French).
  • Soft skills:  self-management, flexibility, reliability, relationship building, results-oriented, with strong communication skills.
  • Technical skills  : Management of virtual collaboration tools (Mural / Miro, Zoom / MS Teams, etc.).

Requirements:

To be part of our internship, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a Chilean citizen or citizen of one of our 48 member countries with legal or residence permit to work in Chile.
  • Be at least 21 years old as of the internship start date.
  • Not have been an employee, direct or agency consultant, or contractor of any of the institutions that make up the IDB Group.
  • Not having relatives (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including the spouse) working at the IDB or IDB Invest.
  • Curriculum Vitae, national identification, transcripts and letter from the university indicating that you are an active student).

Summary of this opportunity:

  • Type of contract and modality:  Intern hired under the Consultant (CNS) -competitive modality.
  • Duration of the contract:  4.5 months.
