Overview

Team Lead 1 - Security

Postion: Team Lead 1 - Security

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To lead a security shift in the process plant and assist the security Senior Product Control Officer on Process plant security related activities.


QUALIFICATIONS:


Ordinary level secondary school education.

Basic security training / knowledge will be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE:


2 years’ relevant security experience in gold mining industry.

Experience in gold processing plant security will be an added advantage.



MAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


Deployment of subordinates as required.

Enforce discipline and smartness (Uniformity)

Enforce compliance to the standard operational procedures (SOPs)

On job training of subordinates.

Compiling shift reports.

Enforce proper waybill checks and filing.

Team Lead 2 - Core Shed

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Purpose of the role within the resourcing group is to ensure that there are safe and efficient work processes by supervising team, working at the geology core yard including geology staff and non-geology staff (casuals).

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ordinary level secondary school education.

Relevant certificates in geology or supervisory courses.

EXPERIENCE:


At least 2 years relevant exploration / core shed experience.



MAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


Ensure health, safety & environmental standards are complied by all team members working at the core yard.

Ensure the core and RC samples are stored according to the plan and maximizing the available space.

Supervise the team during the drill core disposal an in accordance to the core disposal procedure and disposing at right location.

Supervise team to maximize usage of personnel and the relogging is done on time and re-storing the samples after relogging

Supervise the geology mini store.

Supervise team to ensure housekeeping is good.

Plan the work better to utilize available workforce and light vehicles.

Ensure no backlog of drill core at the coreshed which has been logged to sampling and stored timely

Support the coreshed senior supervisor as required.

To make physical guarding of valuables in the Process plant, plant perimeter patrols, foot patrols inside the Process plant, escort on the delivery and emergency vehicles in the Process plant and observation.



QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE:


2 years’ relevant security experience in gold mining industry.



MAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


Receiving and processing of plant visitors and contractors approved access requested

Physical manning of the plant reception.

Handling of plant visitors’ and contractors’ cards.

Registering of the visitors and contractors gaining access in the Process plant.

Conducting proper personal searching at VIP entrances.

Enforce waybill check and filing.

Doing proper completion of register books.

Making routine inspection and verification of security equipment.

Doing foot patrol and observation in the Process plant.

The purpose of the role is to work in the underground mine planning section developing short-term plan and monitoring plan compliance and perform day to day mining engineering duties required for smooth daily production targets

QUALIFICATIONS:

BSc. in Mining Engineering

EXPERIENCE:


At least 1 year relevant experience in mining industry preferably Underground Mining

Experience with MS Office software.

Exposure in mining software such as Vulcan, Datamine, Spry

Senior Manager - Supply Chain

The purpose of this role is to take accountability for the Geita Gold Mine supply chain operational requirements, including, but not limited to all procurement related activities, inventory control, warehousing, logistic and shipping activities whilst adhering to all governance and legal requirements both within AGA and in-country. This is done whilst focusing on controlling costs and improving efficiency and accuracy in the management of the overall supply chain.



QUALIFICATIONS:


Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, Commerce or Degree in Supply Chain and Logistic Management.


EXPERIENCE:


10 years working experience, mining industry experience advantageous.

Experience in a procurement and Supply Chain Management position.

Proficient in the use of ERP SAP Materials Management system.

Strong computer skills – Microsoft office package, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Dynamic knowledge and understanding of supply chain, business acumen and the mining environment.

Knowledge of SAP supply chain systems integration and automation a definite requirement.

Proven track record for competency in all Supply Chain SAP modules.
